LIVE IIHF World Juniors 2022: TV Coverage, How to Stream Every World Juniors Games Online

The tournament is usually played just after Christmas. However, due to COVID-19, the tournament was cancelled in December 2021. The IIHF decided to restart the World Juniors tournament in August, instead of skipping the entire tournament.

There will be many players who travel to Edmonton to play in the international games. Even though they are too old to participate in the December tournament, players who were still eligible can still play.

A few players might not attend as they prepare for the NHL season. William Eklund is the No. William Eklund, the No. 7 Sharks pick in 2021, announced recently that he will not be participating in the tournament, despite being tabbed on Sweden’s initial roster.

It will certainly have a new feel, as it is played in the summer, the first time that this has ever been done. However, there is no other hockey happening, so all eyes are on the future of NHL.
